Alexandros Ziomas joined the Athens International Airport in April 2016 and now holds the Director position of Information Technology & Telecommunications Business Unit with main objectives: i) maintain the high level of quality and reliability of the IT&T services provided to internal and external stakeholders, to companies operating within the wider Airport Community, as well as to the passengers and airport visitors ii) assure the strategic alignment between Business and Technology iii) focus on innovation and digital transformation to provide solutions/services (Mobile Technology, Robotics, Biometrics, IoT, and Big Data intelligence) to bring business benefits of better passenger experience.
Alexandros is a professional with 22 years of experience in senior executive positions at major banking and financial services organizations (HSBC Bank and Allianz Hellas), managing and controlling new business ventures, activities and projects, in line with the overall planning strategies, technologies and market trends.
He has an extensive experience in team management, in organizational effectiveness solutions, operating models, process reengineering and standardization, as well as in analyzing, planning and implementing strategic programs across organization and support functions.
