Kalliopi Vlachopoulou is a lawyer and a Senior Manager in PwC Legal Greece and leads the Regulatory Compliance, Digital Law & Innovation department.
Kalliopi has acted for Greek banks and branches of foreign banks as well as private equity funds, payment institutions, and other financial services providers. She has assisted as a legal expert in various licensing projects and significant experience in structuring and drafting financial products, and handling regulatory compliance matters.
Throughout her practice, Kalliopi has provided legal and regulatory advice to domestic and foreign top tier clients and acts for credit and financial institutions on matters related to licensing, cross border provision of services, and overall compliance with Greek and EU banking regulatory compliance issues.
She has been involved in a broad range of assignments on legal (corporate, commercial, etc.) and regulatory issues, including legal and business advice on M&A, business development opportunities, complex loan structures, debt restructuring, and acquisition of shares/assets.
Apart from a material corporate practice, Kalliopi also has a strong background in proving regulatory and compliance advice drawing on both technical knowledge and commercial experience, and has an in depth understanding of various regulatory sectors, including banking and financial services.
