Konstantina Svinou

Konstantina Svinou was born and raised in Kos. She studied at the Polytechnic University of Patras, specializing in Computer and Information Systems Engineering. Later, she pursued postgraduate studies in the following:

Master’s degree (MSc) in “Technologies and Applications of Electronic Commerce”
Master’s degree (MPh) in “Computer and Technology Science”
Specialized Master’s degree (MBA) in “Tourism Business Management”

She speaks English, German, and French. She has served as a research associate in the Laboratory of High-Performance Information Systems at the Department of Computer Engineering and Informatics at the University of Patras. Simultaneously, she was responsible for teaching computer science courses in secondary education. Since 2001, she shifted her focus to the tourism industry, taking over the management of her family’s business, which consists of three hotels.

Her involvement in public affairs began in 2003 with the Hoteliers Association of Kos. Currently, she holds the following positions:
President of the Institute of Tourism Research and Forecasts (ITEP) (2018-present)
Vice President of the Hoteliers Association of Kos (2023-present)
Member of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels (2006-present)
Member of the Board of Directors of POX (2023-present)
Member of the Board of Directors of Marina Kos
Vice President of the Cycling Club of Kos (POK Kos) (2022-present)
Elected Regional Councilor of the South Aegean Region

She has also previously held the following positions:

President of the Hoteliers Association of Kos (2014-2023)
Vice President of the Panhellenic Federation of Hoteliers (POX) (2017-2023)
