Marisa was born in South Africa and raised in Greece. She studied Philosophy and Economics at the University of Bristol, graduating in 2008. After that she moved on to work for PwC as an external auditor and consultant, while receiving her ACCA diploma.
In 2014 she left the corporate world to be part of setting up the first microfinance organization in Greece, Action Finance Initiative.
Ever since, as the Business Development Manager and COO of the organization, she has been helping unemployed people and excluded entrepreneurs gain access to microfinance, free business training and support, while developing the organization in Greece.
