JUDGE & MENTOR
Alexandros Angelopoulos, was born in Athens in 1972. He studied Business Management at Boston University (1995) and attended Boston College for his postgraduate studies in International Management (1998). Moreover, he is a graduate of the PDP program at New York Cornell University (2008).
He is the Managing Director of Aldemar Resorts, a leading resorts chain company in Greece. He has been actively involved in the family business since 1995, working diligently to introduce innovative ideas and policies that open up new horizons in the Greek hotel industry, positioning tourism at the core of the Greek economic activity.
Alexandros Angelopoulos has been following with great interest the developments in the Greek business ecosystem and the European setting. He actively participates in various organizations and committees representing the tourism sector and entrepreneurship in Greece. Currently, he holds the positions of Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Entrepreneurs Association, Secretary General of the Chamber of Hotels in Heraklion, and Ambassador of all 5-star hotels located in Peloponnese. Additionally, he serves as the Honorary Consulate of Ukraine for Peloponnese.
Since 2020, he has taken on the role of a guest lecturer at the University of Piraeus teaching Sustainability in Tourism as part of the postgraduate studies “Biochemistry, Circular Economy and Sustainable Development”.
