Nicos Stathis


Nicos holds a B.Sc in International and European Economic Studies from the University of Macedonia, Thessaloniki,  a M.Sc in International Tourism Marketing from Oxford Brookes University and is currently pursuing a M.Sc in Strategic Human Resource Management at ALBA Graduate Business School – The American College of Greece.

He has a 17-year experience in hospitality in various positions mainly in hotel resorts. Over the past seven years he has served as Group Quality, Safety & Sustainability Manager overseeing Health & Safety procedures and audits, certifications and quality schemes (ISO 9001, 22000, 14001) and also sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility for six properties.

He is currently an independent adviser in Hospitality, HSE and HR.

Alongside with his daily tasks, he is an active member of the society, trying to bring cultural, environmental and societal aspects of tourism in the agenda and focuses on diversity, inclusion and equality in an organizational context and best HR practices.

He has been cooperating with several Organizations over the last years, inter alia with Tourism Sector of New Democracy for the party’s official plan for tourism; with Synpraxis, a youth think-tank over policy making in Greece and also RICHeS – Rhodes International Culture & Heritage Society.
