Christos Stergiou is the Founder and CEO of TrueTrips, a luxury travel company dedicated to providing an authentic travel experience; and the Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of Triparound, a travel tech company that brings travel planning into the future. After growing up in Greece and learning the art of hospitality at his family’s Petra Hotel & Suites on Patmos island, Christos spent nine years studying and working in the U.S. before returning to Greece to found TrueTrips.
Building on the success of the initial TrueGreece brand, he later expanded the TrueTrips experience to twelve additional European and Mediterranean countries with a focus on personalized luxury. Christos graduated Magna Cum Laude in Economics and ΦΒΚ from Brandeis University and spent three years working at Charles River Associates, Inc., a leading economic consulting firm. He also holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Since 2008, Christos has been named one of the world’s Top Travel Specialists by Condé Nast Traveler Magazine, and since 2009 he has been included in Travel and Leisure’s A-List of top travel specialists globally. Since 2014, he has been selected as the sole Trusted Travel Expert for Greece in the highly selective Wendy Perrin WOW List.
In 2019, together with Antonis Chalkiopoulos, he founded Triparound, a tech company that provides travel professionals globally with an innovative, digitized ecosystem focused on the travelers’ needs. Triparound’s SaaS/B2B services aim to empower hoteliers, travel advisors / DMCs and activity providers by fixing the 3Es (Efficiency, Effectiveness, Ease of Use) and providing them with unprecedented capabilities.
Christos is a founding member of the Board of Directors of Marketing Greece and a member of the Board of Directors of the Stanford Club of Greece, on which he also served two terms as President from 2014 to 2018. In 2018, he was awarded by his alma mater Doukas School for his achievements and was honored with delivering the commencement speech to high-school seniors.
