CapsuleT and Its Startups in Halkidiki!

The on-site visit of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels’ accelerator, CapsuleT, to Halkidiki was successfully completed from May 21–23, 2025, with the participation of 10 innovative startups: Algomo, Deliverback, Hotellisense, Hotel Toolbox, Mystery Pot, Orbito Travel, SmartINN.ai, Unlimited Adrenaline, Vivestia και Wastecloud.

CapsuleT‘s missions to various tourist regions across Greece aim to provide startups with a deeper understanding of local markets, facilitate connections with hotel stakeholders and professionals, and showcase technological solutions that can enhance the sustainability and competitiveness of tourism.

Day 1 – Tradition and Modern Tourism

The three-day trip began with visits to local businesses and producers, offering a valuable taste of Halkidiki’s culture:

• At the Kazakis Vineyard House, teams explored traditional products and the story behind Marianna’s famous vine leaves and dolmadakia.

• This was followed by a visit to the Petralona Cave, one of the region’s most important archaeological sites.

• At SANI RESORT, participants toured the hotel facilities and experienced local hospitality.

• The day ended with a visit to the PERIAPTON olive packaging facility, where production and export processes were presented.

Day 2 – Event on Cutting-Edge Technology in Hospitality and Tourism

The second day was dedicated to the event “New Technologies in Hospitality and Tourism,” hosted at Portes Lithos Luxury Resort, in collaboration with the Halkidiki Hotels Association. A special thanks to the President of the Association, Mr. Grigoris Tasios, for his hospitality and key role in the success of the event.

CapsuleT startups presented their innovative solutions to local tourism professionals, followed by a lunch and networking session. You can watch the event here.

Later in the afternoon, the delegation visited Porto Carras Grand Resort, where participants enjoyed a guided tour and wine tasting.

Day 3 – Cultural Experience with the Mount Athos Backdrop

The third and final day included a cruise and guided tour of the monasteries of Mount Athos, offering participants a unique experience of cultural and natural significance.

The visit to Halkidiki highlighted the importance of connecting innovation with the real tourism market and strengthened the collaborative bridge between startups and local businesses. We extend our sincere thanks to all local stakeholders and entrepreneurs for their warm welcome and cooperation.
