CapsuleT at BEYOND Expo 2025
A three-day experience of technological innovation in tourism!
We were delighted and honored to accept the invitation to participate at the booth of the Region of Attica during BEYOND Expo 2025 — the most prominent international technology and innovation exhibition held in our country from April 4 to 6 at the Metropolitan Exhibition Centre in Athens.
Strong Presence at the Region of Attica Booth
The Region of Attica and Nea Metropolitan Attica S.A., recognizing the important work of the CapsuleT Accelerator in tourism and startup innovation, invited CapsuleT along with 7 tourism startups that have stood out through its Acceleration Program to actively participate in the Region’s booth.
The presence of the 7 companies — Cellarhopping, EV Loader, kleesto, Narratologies, orbito travel, SmartINN.ai, and Vivestia — was a unique opportunity for networking, product showcasing, and exchange of experiences with professionals from the tourism, tech, and investment sectors.
CapsuleT Panel: New Technologies in Tourism — In Practice
On Saturday, April 5, CapsuleT was invited to participate in the event and presentation agenda of the Region of Attica and Nea Metropolitan Attica S.A., organizing a special panel titled “New Technologies at the Service of the Destination and the Visitor”, featuring representatives from the program’s startups:
• Mr. Tasos Kannavos – Cellarhopping
• Mr. Giorgos Pilpilidis – kleesto
• Ms. Aliki Iovita – Narratologies
• Mr. Christos Stefanatos – EV Loader
• Mr. Ilias Alexakis – orbito travel
The discussion was moderated by Katerina Saridaki, Director of CapsuleT, and focused on modern tech solutions that improve the tourism ecosystem’s operation. It showcased solutions that enhance the management of destinations, businesses, and providers, as well as the experience of visitors and travelers. Successful examples of collaboration between startups, institutions, and local businesses were also presented, featuring products and services that contribute to the digital upgrade of destinations and overall visitor experience.
Participation in the “Funding Innovation” Panel
Katerina Saridaki, CapsuleT’s Director, also joined as a guest of the Region of Central Macedonia in the panel “The Funders of Innovation: From Idea Funding to Mature Startup Investment”, held on April 5 at the respective booth.
The panel was moderated by Mr. Spyros Arsenis (NBG Business Seeds) and featured key investment stakeholders:
• Mr. Giorgos Karantonis (Metavallon)
• Mr. Nikolas Karydis (The People’s Trust)
• Ms. Dora Trachana (Uni.Fund)
• Mr. Thomas Athanasiou (L-Stone Capital)
• Mr. Panagiotis Ketikidis (HEBAN / Thessaloniki Innovation Zone)
The discussion highlighted CapsuleT’s role in supporting tourism startups at the idea stage and during their first business steps, through programs like the Idea Platform and the Acceleration Program — offering resources, tools, and even microfunding via awards and financial support, including for teams that simply completed a program cycle successfully.
Highlights, Connections & Outlooks
Throughout the three days, the CapsuleT team had the opportunity to present its recognized work and activities to institutions, companies, investors, and organizations, further strengthening the accelerator’s position as a leading hub and active community for tourism innovation in Greece.
