What’s Open Calls all about?

Open Calls matching mobile app help erasmus students and tourists to share activities with locals according to a live map and their preferences. 

Hmm… Could you tell us a little bit more about it? 

Open Calls is a mobile app matching users in teams with the use of machine learning and AI algorithms, which help erasmus students or tourists to socialize with locals and share activities together. The app use a freemium billing model with free use at start and a monthly subscription to unlock more premium features. Event organisers and professionals can place ads too. 

What problem/issue are you trying to solve?

Millennials and tourists struggle to find company to join their favorite activities. The spread of social media along with the limited available activities during the Covid-19 quarantine led to the basic social skills reduction.

In 2022, we do have a big offering of activities but – despite the common interest – it is much more difficult to find company to join them.

Human as a social being always look for people to share activities.

For example, one of the most active social group is youth which studies abroad or in other cities away from home and, of course, tourists. The platform that used to solve this problem until now was Facebook. A channel that dominated the market. Although its great success story millennials have left it behind. At this point, major companies may noticed the problem but none of them was focused exclusively on the social problem as they have built an identity already.

What’s the solution provided by Open Calls?

Open Calls builds an app to match the users according to their preferences in order to experience an activity along with others on benefit of professional event organizers.

We use a map where users can find live other active users and activities to participate. Also, we use a search machine to find either people or activities according to a list of filters. Users can easily organize their choices and be rewarded for their consistency.

There is a free subscription billing plan and ads by professionals.

Concluding, we aim to find you company to do exactly what you want, where you want, with people who like you by using high-tech algorithms.

Athanasios Dimopoulos
CEO

Bachelor in Applied Informatics, University of Macedonia, specialized in optimization search engines (web crawlers) and mobile applications. He has been engaged with small European funding, but the first big success came in the field of organizing big youth events and the public relations office that he created, having 5000 tickets per month. Moreover, he took up the new trends in music industry, also directing a documentary film and a videoclip with millions of views within a few months.

Bachelor in security methods with accompanied certifications and specialization in UX/UI. Worked as a freelancer for multiple projects. He has been engaged with the planning of music events, production organization and promotion to the youth, public relations with national artists of the music industry and events bargaining with sponsors. Moreover, he has been trained in search procedures, finding personnel and adjusting it.
