We are delighted and proud to share that Katerina Saridaki, Director of the Capsule^T Accelerator, is a Regional Finalist at the South Europe Startup Awards 2025, in the category Ecosystem Hero of the Year.

This distinction, although individual, reflects the substantial work and contribution of the Capsule^T Accelerator to the innovation and startup ecosystem focused on tourism in Greece.

The South Europe Startup Awards are part of the international institution Global Startup Awards, one of the largest initiatives worldwide for highlighting and rewarding innovation and startup ecosystems.

The work of Capsule^T

Since 2019, Capsule^T has been the first and only acceleration initiative focusing exclusively on tourism startups in Greece. Within these 6 years, working collectively and with inspiration for the future of the Greek tourism ecosystem, we have achieved:

• To include as participants in our programs 136 startup teams with more than 400 individuals benefiting from our initiatives.
• To be supported as active members of our community by 110 mentors & judges, 80 speakers, and 40 sponsors & strategic partners.
• To organize 120 on-site visits where hotels and tourism businesses across Greece opened their doors to welcome us.
• To co-organize 15 events on New Technologies in Tourism together with Local Hotel Associations across Greece, who invited us to present our startups and engage in discussions on innovative solutions.
• To be invited to participate in more than 110 conferences & events of tourism bodies and the innovation ecosystem, as well as University Schools and Private Colleges, in the roles of speakers, presenters, and panelists.

These results are not just numbers, but living proof of the impact Capsule^T has in strengthening innovation and the entrepreneurial ecosystem in tourism.
