Capsule!@T@!'s November: A month of extroversion, technology, and substantial presence in and outside of Greece
As part of the 8th Acceleration Cycle, the CapsuleT Travel & Hospitality Accelerator carried out four targeted on-site visits to iconic hotel properties along the Athenian Riviera, from Glyfada to Vouliagmeni. The aim of these visits was to meaningfully connect startup teams with the real tourism product and provide direct exposure to the operations of different types of hotel units.
The on-site visits included the 10 teams of the 8th Acceleration Cycle:
Ask Navina, askHermis, Bookerty, Caravelo, Discoverly, New Generation Hotelier, Plana, SAIL-E, Tundra Ventures, and Zero Stars Hotels.
The visits took place at The Roc Club, Somewhere Boutique Hotel Vouliagmeni, The Margi Hotel, and One&Only Aesthesis, offering the teams a comprehensive view of the contemporary hospitality landscape of the area.
Direct exposure to hotel operations
During the on-site visits, hotel executives welcomed the teams and presented the operational structure of their properties in detail. Through guided tours and targeted presentations, the startups gained insight into different business models, each hotel’s target audiences, guest needs, and the day-to-day challenges faced by the hospitality sector.
Particular emphasis was placed on how hotels approach reservations, guest experience management, departmental operations, and the use of technology in their daily activities.
Solution presentations & valuable feedback
At the same time, the startup teams had the opportunity to present their products and services directly to hotel executives, discuss real operational needs, and receive meaningful feedback. These discussions paved the way for exploring potential collaborations, as well as pilot implementations of solutions in real operating environments.
For the teams, the on-site visits proved to be a highly valuable market-understanding experience, allowing them to see firsthand how their technological solutions can address real needs within the hospitality industry.
We would like to warmly thank the Athens Hoteliers Association for its valuable support, its connection with hotels along the Athenian Riviera, and its contribution to the meaningful networking of CapsuleT’s startup teams.
For CapsuleT, on-site visits are a core pillar of the Acceleration Program. They bridge innovation with the market, transfer knowledge from theory into practice, and help startups evolve their products and services based on real conditions and needs of the hospitality industry.
Through initiatives like these, CapsuleT continues to strengthen the connection between the innovation ecosystem and the hotel sector, creating the conditions for collaborations with meaningful impact on the future of tourism.
