Travel Tech, Innovation & Conversations Shaping the Future of Tourism
CapsuleT Travel & Hospitality Accelerator had a strong presence at Beyond Expo 2026,
participating in the largest technology and innovation exhibition in the
Balkans alongside five startups from its ecosystem that are developing
innovative solutions for tourism and hospitality.
From June
17 to 19, at the Region of Attica pavilion, Discoverly, iSPACE, Plana, Travelr, and Unlimited Adrenaline showcased their solutions to tourism professionals, institutional
representatives, investors, and exhibition visitors, highlighting the role of
technology in shaping the future of the industry.
As part of
the exhibition, CapsuleTalso hosted a panel discussion titled “Athens
& Attica: The Digital Transformation of the Tourism Destination Through the
Eyes of Startups”, featuring representatives from the five startups and
moderated by CapsuleT Director, Katerina Saridaki.
The
discussion highlighted how travel-tech startups can contribute to creating a
smarter, more sustainable, and more competitive tourism destination.
Participants presented solutions that enhance the personalized discovery of
experiences and local activities, promote businesses and destinations more
effectively through virtual exploration technologies, optimize workforce
management for tourism businesses, and simplify the organization of business
and corporate travel.
The
conversation also explored the role of technology in enhancing the visitor
experience, supporting tourism businesses, and promoting lesser-known
experiences that can contribute to longer stays and increased repeat visitation
to destinations.
A special
moment during CapsuleT’s participation in Beyond Expo 2026 was the visit of
the Governor of Attica, Mr. Nikos Hardalias, to the booth, where he had the
opportunity to meet and engage with startups from the CapsuleT ecosystem
and learn about the innovative solutions they are developing for tourism and
hospitality.
The
pavilion was also visited by Mr. Dimitris Fragkakis, Executive President of New
Metropolitan Attica S.A., who discussed with the teams the opportunities for
leveraging technology in tourism and the role Greek startups can play in the
digital transformation of destinations and tourism businesses.
Participation
in Beyond Expo 2026 provided yet another important opportunity to showcase
Greece’s travel-tech ecosystem, strengthening connections between startups,
businesses, investors, and organizations that contribute to the digital
transformation of tourism and hospitality.
CapsuleT
would like to extend its sincere thanks to the Region of Attica for its
hospitality and support, as well as for its ongoing contribution to fostering
innovation, entrepreneurship, and the international outreach of the startup
ecosystem.
