What’s Villa4Villa all about?

Villa4Villa is a platform which enables people to exchange their summer houses. Our goal is to create a premium club, through which people can swap their villas based on a point system method.

Hmm… Could you tell us a little bit more about it?

Villa4Villa is an innovative platform for exchanging villas, our goal is to create a closed premium club where the exchanges will take place based on point system. Every member will submit an application with the villa’s characteristics. In order to be accepted, the villa should fulfill several predefined criteria, such as a minimal price or/and a certain number of bedrooms. When someone gets accepted to the club, the one must pay an annual subscription. Afterwards, when a person gives his/her villa for a certain amount of time, he/she receives a number of points, based on multiple factors, such as, the quality and the size of the villa. The points will be cashed when a booking will be made in any of the club’s villas, depending the location and the amount of points the person would like to cash. Finally, when a member competes a booking, he/she will pay a booking fee of 10-20€/day.

What problem/issue are you trying to solve?

A vast number of Greek citizens, and not only, own a summer house, and the majority of the population that own one, usually rent it. As such, the typical summer house owner will spend part of his vacation far from his second home, since Greek people like to explore other places, rather than spending their whole summer to the summer house they own. However, a house that is similar to theirs can be expensive to rent, and hence, people tend to get “trapped” into staying only in their home. Therefore, Villa4Villa has arrived to take advantage of this unexploited market segment.

What’s the solution provided by Villa4Villa?

Summer house owners, would vividly want to enjoy living in another summer house, similar to what they have, in another Greek island, for instance, just because they are keen on change and exploring new places. Thus, instead of paying a fairly large amount of money to rent such a summer house, they could just be giving theirs in exchange for another. However, this premium club is not similar to a typical peer-to-peer home exchange one. Villa4Villa refers to a platform for exchanging luxurious vacation homes, where every member will submit an application with the villa’s characteristics. The goal is to create a closed premium club where the exchanges will take place based on point system. In order to be accepted, the villa should fulfill several predefined criteria, such as a minimum price or/and a certain number of bedrooms.
