Katerina Tzicha graduated from University of Piraeus with a Bachelor degree in Insurance and Statistical sciences. She has over 25 years of experience in Human Resources Management in large Multinational corporations as in the pharmaceutical industry (AstraZeneca) and retail business (Praktiker)
Since May 2010 is a Director of Human Resources for the Luxury Collection Hotels in Athens: Grande Bretagne, King George and also for Sheraton Rhodes Resort as of April 2015.
Her transition in the Tourism and Hospitality Industry is a very important career development for her, especially working for such historic landmark hotels and in a very challenging and inspiring working environment.
An environment, that combines the personalized luxury service, the unique people who work in the hotels with professionalism and passion to make the stay and the experience of each guest rare and captivating and the daily working experiences an HR Leader can gain. The daily rhythm of the hotel gives an endless source of knowledge, excitement and energy to anyone who loves working in this industry.
She is a member of the Greek People Management Association (GPMA) and a member of the Marriott Worldwide Business Council in Greece & Cyprus.
She attended many seminars under Starwood Hotels & Resorts and was certified as a Coach and Mentor (with the Programs: Next Generation Coaching for Leaders and EAME Mentoring Program) and continues with the new Learning programs of Marriott International.
She is a mother of two sons, 23 and 20 years old and her philosophy in life is the positive thinking and optimism in every aspect of professional and personal life.
