CapsuleT | The big winner of South Europe Startup Awards 2022
It has been awarded as the Best Accelerator Program in Southern Europe!
One more award has been added to the successes of CapsuleT Travel & Hospitality Accelerator, an initiative of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels, by winning the 1st place in the “Best Accelerator/Incubator Program” category of the European competition for startups “South Europe Startup Awards” 2022 (SESA), as announced on July 27.
South Europe Startup Award covers the regions of France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Malta, Cyprus, and Greece aiming to become the one-stop-shop event for each of the startup ecosystems of the participating countries by inspiring, stimulating and recognizing the entrepreneurial spirit, the disruptive capacity of innovation, the coherence of the ecosystem and the cooperation for the benefit of the economic development of each country.
From his side the President of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels, Mr. Alexandros Vassilikos congratulated CapsuleT’s team stating that “An initiative like our accelerator which managed to distinguish itself within its 3 years of operation both in Greece through the Tourism Awards 2022 and abroad by winning the 1st place at the South Europe Startup Awards 2022 proves that when there is vision, targeting and collective participation we can create new perspectives – not only for hospitality and tourism industry – but also perspectives for recognition and development of new collaborations with partners abroad aiming of strengthening start-up entrepreneurship and investments in it”.
Moreover, Mrs. Katerina Saridaki the Director of CapsuleT stated: “We are truly delighted and honored by this award. It is a moral recognition of our effort, a recognition beyond our borders, very important both for us as an accelerator and team that designs and implements the CapsuleT program, but as much as I think for all those who have supported us from the very beginning. Our sponsors and strategic partners, the judges and mentors who dedicate personal time and expertise voluntarily but above all our teams, which they trust us to support and guide them in their next steps. This award concerns our entire community and is not only a celebratory moment but also a moment of responsibility towards what we do and our next steps. We thank all those who support us, those who voted for us during the public voting process but also the committee of the SESA for this honorable distinction”.
It is noted that CapsuleT managed to win the 1st place and stand out as the Best Accelerator Program in Southern Europe for 2022 among 10 finalists from other countries. It is worth mentioning all the SESA 2022 entries and congratulating each one of them!

About South Europe Startup Award
South Europe Startup Award (SESA) is part of the GSA network and was launched in 2019 to host a competition for startups covering all Southern European countries. SESA was brought to Europe for the first time by X23 – The Innovation Bakery and the high-growth program EXOO23|Radical™. X23 is an independent multidisciplinary, self-sustaining research center established in 1999 dedicated to innovation, research, development and upgrading.
The purpose of the event is to connect the players of each ecosystem and commit them to support the international exhibition of startups, stimulate their development and expand in the international markets.
