Apostolos Moussamas was born in 1976 in Athens and has graduated from the American College of Athens in 1994. He is married with one daughter.

He has been a graduate of Cornell University an IVY league college and one of the most prominent universities worldwide for hotel administration.  He speaks fluently English and German.

After finishing his studies, in the early years, he worked in several departments of the Holiday Inn Athens hotel such as Front Office, Banquet and Sales department, in order to obtain experience in management for the future.

He has played a major role during the total renovation of Holiday Suites and the construction of Holiday Inn Athens, Attica Avenue. Moreover as the CEO of Moussamas Bros, the last 5 years, he was responsible and decision maker for the full reconstruction of Crowne Plaza Athens City Centre (former Holiday Inn Athens). The total reconstruction, which took place in 2008, has cost 17,5 million euro net and it was completed in a record time of 11 months.

Crowne Plaza Athens City Centre (193 rooms), Holiday Inn Athens Attica Avenue- Airport West (194 rooms) & Holiday Suites Arnis Street (34 suites) are three of the most prominent and state-of-the-art hotels in Athens. The first two are members of Intercontinental Hotels Group,

Furthermore, the hotels have been awarded with several awards from the IHG (such as Quality Excellence Award -twice, IHG Torchbearer award- three times) and from the Trip Advisor (3 times was rewarded with Certificate of Excellence).

He is also the Vice President of Athens Hotel Association and a member of the board of directors of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels.
