5th Cycle of CapsuleT | Participation requests are increasing!
Applications for the 5th cycle of the CapsuleT Travel & Hospitality Accelerator Program continue unabated until Thursday, June 23, 2022. This is the outstanding program that comes to help Greek technology startups operating in tourism to evolve their services/products and get the support they need.
Our main goal is to offer essential support and guidance through the free content-rich program, which meets the business needs of startups and at the same time provide practical training opportunities, interface with the industry – with owners, executives and representatives of hotels and tourism businesses – and useful tools on how they can upgrade and respond to market demands.
Its duration is 5 months, during which the selected start-ups – in addition to their participation in the program – can use the accelerator’s office space for free, with the possibility of extending the period of use for an additional 3 months after the end of the programme.
In which categories of tourism can you participate in?
Eligible to participate are companies that provide technological applications and solutions for the hotel and catering sector, the field of tourism transport / smart cities / mobility, booking engines and online tourist offices, tourism and cultural activities / tours / events, as well as companies that provide applications and services for sustainable development, saving food, energy and natural resources, accessibility solutions or specialized communication and promotion solutions. Indicatively, the categories to which they can belong to join the program are Internet & web platforms, Mobile apps, Chatbots, Software, Hardware, Energy solutions, Mobility & Transportation solutions, Blockchain / Fintech solutions, AI solutions, Big Data, Internet of Things.
Which leading companies will support your startup?
The 5th cycle of the Acceleration Programme will take place, as always, with the valuable assistance and sponsorship of Google, as a gold sponsor of the programme, while also participating with educational workshops and mentoring by the non-profit organisation. The People’s Trust, which will support for the second consecutive year the further development of technology startups in the tourism industry and will support the competitive part of the program with the offer of cash prizes for the 3 winners and Aegean Airlines, as the official airline of the teams.
NBG Business Seeds, Nelios, PwC Greece, TÜV AUSTRIA Hellas and Programize are also important and active strategic partners of the accelerator’s activities.
At the same time, the CapsuleT team is once again joining forces with recognized startups in the tourism market such as Clio Muse Tours, Ferryhopper, Triparound, Welcome Pickups, Workathlon and Wooftogether, which have joined the program as community partners.
Finally, a supporter for the provision of coffee products will be Douwe Egberts/Foodrinco.
Which cash prizes can you claim?
At the end of the 5th Acceleration cycle, companies compete for final prizes totalling €40,000 – as an additional financial support – and free services/privileges from strategic partners of the CapsuleT community. The scale of the prizes to be awarded by the non-profit organisation “The People’s Trust” to the winners of the 5th CapsuleT cycle is: 1st prize money €10,000, 2nd prize €5,000 and 3rd prize €3,000. In addition, the remaining teams that successfully complete the programme and reach the final will receive a cash prize of €2,000 from CapsuleT.

– Google grants free credits for the use of all Google Cloud services worth $2,000 for 2 years, especially for startups participating in the CapsuleT program, as well as the possibility and conditions (for teams that receive funding) to grant credits for the use of all Google Cloud services up to $100,000 for the first year.
– Nelios is offering the first winner free digital marketing services.
– Programize is offering product development consulting to the 3 winners, as well as access to development services at special discounted rates.
– Aegean Airlines will offer airline tickets for the team members of the 1st winner.
